Not sure what type suits your bathroom? Here's a quick breakdown.
1. Back-to-Wall Toilet Suites
The cistern sits concealed in-wall or behind a unit. Models like the Fienza Koko, Isabella, Kaya, Aluca and Lillian all fall into this category. Clean lines, easy to clean around, works well in both modern and classic bathrooms.
2. Wall-Faced Toilet Suites
The pan sits flush against the wall for a cleaner finish and easier cleaning around the base. Depending on the model, wall-faced toilets may use either an exposed cistern or an in-wall cistern system.
3. Wall-Hung Toilets
Pan mounted to the wall, no floor contact. Especially popular in tight ensuites or contemporary builds. The Fienza Koko rimless wall-hung is a standout, available in gloss white and matte black.
4. Close-coupled toilet suites
Cistern sits directly on the pan. Classic look, simpler install. The Fienza Stella and Petra close-coupled suites are popular picks, particularly for secondary bathrooms or rentals where budget matters.
What Makes Fienza Toilets Worth Looking At
Tornado Flush Technology
Most Fienza back-to-wall and wall-hung models use a tornado flush system, two side-entry water jets that spin water around the full bowl instead of pouring from a rim. The result: a more thorough rinse with less water. There's no rim channel for bacteria to hide in, and cleaning takes about half the effort.
Most tornado flush models carry a WELS 4-star rating for 4.5L/3L dual-flush, which adds up to real savings over time.
Rimless Bowl Design
Fienza rimless toilets, including the Koko, Isabella and Aluca, remove the inner rim channel entirely. Traditional rimmed toilets are genuinely difficult to clean underneath, and that's where bacteria builds. Rimless is now the standard specification on most new Australian builds for a reason.
Nano Glaze Coating
Many Fienza toilet pans include a nano glaze finish on the inner bowl, an ultra-fine barrier that repels water, limescale and bacteria. Less scrubbing, longer-lasting hygiene & a cleaner look over the life of the product.
Fienza Cistern Options Explained
Fienza offer three cistern system options depending on the suite:
- R&T - Standard in-wall system, most affordable, suits most residential installs.
- Geberit Sigma - German-engineered in-wall cistern. Premium build quality, quieter operation, wider compatibility with designer flush plates. The Koko wall-hung suite, for example, is available with Geberit Sigma.
- Viega - Also an in-wall system, available in V-01, V-02 and V-04 formats. Good mid-range option between R&T and Geberit.
Cistern choice affects the flush button style, frame compatibility and overall price of the suite, worth thinking through before you commit.
